Terms & Conditions for Contest
The following terms and conditions apply to Mad About Singapore 2025 (the “Contest”) photography contest organised by or on behalf of InstaSG (the “Organiser”) through the Instagram page of the Organiser (@instasg), in partnership with the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (the “Campaign Partner”) and supported by Nikon Singapore Pte Ltd (the “Programme Partner”) as the programme partner and Photosphere (the “Prize Sponsor”) as the prize sponsor. The Contest is an open call for submission for Mad About Singapore 2025 exhibition (the “Exhibition”).
These apply in addition and subject to any specific terms identified at any website or platform for the Contest and in the event of any conflict the terms posted at the website or platform shall prevail:

ELIGIBILITY
a. The contest is open to all Singapore Citizens and PermanentResidents, as well as Foreign Residents in Singapore, aged 13 years and above, with a local residential address. You mustsubmit the entry using your own registered Instagram account.
b. Participants below 18 years of age should obtain parental orlegal guardian consent, and should be fully able and competent to enter into these Terms and Conditions, and agree to abide by and comply with the same.
c. The Organiser’s main committee members, and employees of the Campaign Partner, Programme Partner, Prize Sponsor and judging panel involved in the organisation of the Contest and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
d. Multiple entries are allowed per participant, and participants can tag any Instagram post with a photo taken from 01 May 2024 as an entry.
e. The images submitted must be taken with a camera. Compositeimages or images generated by Artificial Intelligence cannot be considered. Both generative fill and fully generated images will be prohibited. Because of the rapidly evolving perspectives, the eligibility criteria about the use of Artificial Intelligence may change at short notice and without notification.
f. Entries that have been featured in the past Mad About Singapore exhibitions do not qualify.
g. Entries that have a watermark or signature of the participant do not qualify.
h. No responsibility is accepted for any Contest entries that are incomplete, incoherent, unreadable, ineligible, corrupted,misdirected, lost or delayed or are unable to be sent/published due to technical or transmission failures of any kind or any other reason.
i. Participation in the Contest constitutes acceptance of theseterms and conditions of the Contest. Prizes will be providedin accordance with and subject to these terms and conditions.Any entry not compliant with these terms and conditions willbe deemed invalid. The Organiser reserves the right to amendthese terms and conditions of the Contest at any time withoutprior notice.
j. Participants are required to ensure that his/her Instagramaccount settings allow for public view from 26 April 2025until 31 August 2025. In the event the Organiser is unable toverify the entry due to the account’s privacy settings thatrenders the content not publicly viewable, the entry will beconsidered invalid and voided.
k. It is a condition of entry that all participants consent to

The publication of their names and Instagram platform identifiers (in the format of username, profile picture and/or submitted photo) on the relevant media platforms for publicity purposes.

Printing and public display of their entries in the Exhibition and other print and digital publication, including for the purposes of publicity or promotion of the Contest or the Exhibition organised by the Organiser, Campaign Partner, or Programme Partner which may include the printing of submitted entries in a photo book.
l. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt of theContest entry by the Organiser’s Instagram account.

CONTEST MECHANICS
a. The theme, in conjunction with SG60 this year, is aboutcelebrating Singapore as our cherished home over the last 60years, a place to live, work, learn and play. Your pictureshould reflect a genuine life in Singapore. Under the co-theme#MaritimeSG, the Organiser and the Campaign Partnerencourages participants to also capture Maritime Singapore - athriving ecosystem comprising our global hub port, shippingand maritime services - or any maritime related concerns suchas history or conservation.

The entries should be submitted on and between 26 April 2025 and 18 May 2025, Singapore Time (UTC+8).

WINNERS AND PRIZES
a. The judging panel will decide winners based on the relevance tothe theme, photography skill, creativity and editing skill.
b. Entries will be judged by the judging panel on their meritsbased on the fulfilment of criteria stated for the Contest.The Organiser reserves the right to select Contest winnersbased on the eligibility criteria it has set out in theContest post captions, as well as outlined in the Contestterms and conditions.
c. Prize winners will be notified via the mode of entry submissionunless otherwise stated and may be required to receive privatemessages from the Organiser and to send private messages tothe Organiser via the Instagram platform of the Contest theyparticipated in to provide their personal details (name, emailand contact number) for the purposes of identity verificationfor prize collection.
d. Should a winner be uncontactable or unable to reply withinseven (7) days, the Organiser reserves the right to award theprize to a replacement winner, forfeit the prize or donate theprize to charity.
e. In the event of a dispute, the winner’s entitlement is subjectto the sole discretion and final decision of the Organiser.The Organiser’s decision is final and no correspondence willbe entertained.
f. Items/Prizes must be taken as they are and are strictly notrefundable or exchangeable for cash or extendable in validity.The Organiser reserves the right to replace items/ prizes withitems of similar value.
g. Winner must present a government-issued photo ID and anyrelevant documents for verification when claiming the prize.

INDEMNITY
a. Each and every participant agrees to indemnify and keepindemnified and hold harmless the Organiser, Campaign Partner,Programme Partner and Prize Sponsor from and against any andall claims, loss, damage, injury or disappointment orliability suffered and fees and costs incurred, by anyparticipant as a result of entering the Contest or acceptingthe prize, including any injury or damage to theparticipant’s or any other person’s personal propertyincluding but not limited to a computer or mobile telephonerelating to or resulting from participation in ordownloading/uploading any materials in connection with theContest.
b. Any cost associated with entering the Contest is theparticipant’s responsibility.

COPYRIGHT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
a. Each participant warrants that his/her entry submission is theoriginal work of the participant and, as such, the participantis the sole and exclusive owner and rights holder of thesubmitted work, and that the participant has the right tosubmit the work to the Contest and grant all requiredlicenses.
b. By participating in the Contest, each participant grants theOrganiser, Campaign Partner, Programme Partner and PrizeSponsor an irrevocable, worldwide, perpetual, royalty-freeright and licence to use, publish, reproduce or publiclydisplay any entry submitted for the Contest in print,broadcast, digital and/or electronic media in the context ofthe Contest or the Exhibition without requiring the permissionof the participant and without any fee payment. Where any ofthe entries are published or displayed by the Organiser,Campaign Partner, Programme Partner and Prize Sponsor, theparticipant will be acknowledged and credited. Entriesreceived through the Contest will not be used for commercialpurposes.
c. Each participant agrees not to submit any entry that:

infringes any third party’s proprietary rights, intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personal or moral rights or any other rights, including without limitation, copyright, trade mark, patent, trade secret, privacy, publicity, or confidentiality obligations;

contain material which is (or promotes activities which are) sexually explicit, obscene, pornographic, violent (e.g., relating to murder, the sales or use of weapons, cruelty, abuse, etc.), discriminatory (based on race, sex, religion, natural origin, physical disability, sexual orientation or age), illegal (e.g. underage drinking, substance abuse, computer hacking, etc.), offensive, threatening, profane, or harassing or which is otherwise inappropriate, in the sole discretion of the Organiser, nor may the participant’s name or Instagram account name contain any derogatory references to the Organiser or any other person or entity including brands or trademarks of the Organiser or any other person or entity.

AGREEMENT
a. The Organiser does not assume any liability for any unlawful orunlawfully produced content entry.
b. The Organiser reserves the right to remove, in its sole andabsolute discretion, any submission deemed inappropriate orthat is not in compliance with the terms and conditions of theContest.
c. The Organiser reserves the right in its sole discretion, tocancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
d. The Contest is in no way endorsed, sponsored or administered byor associated with any social media platform.
e. Participation in the Contest will require the collection, use,processing, and disclosure of participants’s personal data.By participating in Contest, Participants are deemed to haveconsented to the Organiser’s collection, use and disclosure oftheir personal data (to the Organiser, Campaign Partner,Programme Partner, and Prize Sponsor for the purposes ofconducting and administering the Contest.
f. By participating in the Contest, participant consents to theOrganiser sharing participant’s data with the CampaignPartner, Programme Partner and Prize Sponsor for the followingpurposes:

Where necessary, for the Campaign Partner, Programme Partner and Prize Sponsor to directly contact participant relating to the use of the entries for its purposes beyond the context of the Contest and the Exhibition; and

The use of participant’s names and/or Instagram identifiers for the purpose of identifying the participant as the author of his/her entries.
g. The Organiser, Campaign Partner, Programme Partner and PrizeSponsor reserve the right to engage authorised photographersand videographers to take photographs and/or video recordingsduring the events related to the Contest or the Exhibition. Byparticipating in the Contest, participant consents to beingphotographed and recorded by authorised photographers andvideographers and consents to the use of such images, films,or recordings by Organiser, Campaign Partner, ProgrammePartner and Prize Sponsor for creating marketing and publicitymaterials for public transmission.
h. Any provision in the terms and conditions which is held to beinvalid or unenforceable for any reason by any court,governmental department, body or tribunal, or in anyapplicable jurisdiction shall be ineffective to the extent ofsuch invalidity or unenforceability and will not invalidate orrender unenforceable the remaining unaffected provisionshereof and should any provision be held invalid orunenforceable in an applicable jurisdiction such provisionshall not be invalidated or rendered unenforceable in anyother jurisdiction.
i. The Contest and its terms and conditions are governed by thelaws of the Republic of Singapore and all registered users andthe winners agree to irrevocably submit themselves to theexclusive jurisdiction of the Singapore courts in thedetermination of any matter or dispute arising in connectiontherewith.
